STATEMENT ON USE OF DATA SUPPLIED FOR AML PURPOSES

STATEMENT FOR CLIENTS AND BUYERS RELATING TO THE USE OF INFORMATION PROVIDED TO BROOKS LENEY (BL) FOR ANTI MONEY LAUNDERING (AML) PURPOSES.

All information provided by clients and buyers as part of BL’s AML procedures will only be used for the purposes of preventing money laundering, terrorist financing or proliferation financing and provide them with the information as required under Article 13 of the GDPR.

Please note the following information:

  • BL’s GDPR data controller is Tom Bloomfield and he can be reached at BL’s Hintlesham office or on 07834 483 472.
  • Your data will be held securely with BL and will not be used for any other purpose other to meet BL’s AML obligations.
  • Your data will stay within the UK.
  • Your data will normally be stored for five years before it is deleted.
  • You can request access to your data at any time.
  • If you are dissatisfied with how BL manage your data you can complain to the Information Commissioners Office. 
  • If you fail to provide the data requested BL may take action in accordance with AML regulations including raising a Suspicious Activity Report (SAR).
  • None of your data will be processed using automatic tools including AI.
